Roots Pump
In roots pump oil is used only for the lubrication of gears which helps in the rotation of lobes. It’s also called a lobe pump. The main section of the pump is oil-free and hence it gets classified under dry pumps. It’s mainly used for industrial processes where there will be huge evacuations of the air or gas from the containers. These pumps can only be used with a backing pump.
